Abstract

The three tablets containing the new unpublished ‘messenger texts’ which are discussed here belong to the Ordine Antoniano Maronita, Rome. They come from Umma, and shed new light on and confirm the general pattern of this peculiar typology of Ur III texts. The transliteration, comment and list of ‘messengers’ quoted in the texts are given together with their occurrences in the ‘messenger texts’ already known to us.
